originally, this was just meant to be a summer blog, but I feel compelled to keep it going just as a way to express myself whenever I feel like it. As aformentioned, whenever I feel like it, which means, not too regularly, but I do hope it entertains and informs some people.

Blue Ocean Resort

hey guys!! i just got back from Mui Ne, Phan Thiet. Mui Ne being like a city or town, Phan Thiet being the province. Anyway, it's like this hot spot for resorts cuz of the ocean and what not. It was generally a lot of fun since i was with a lot of my family, but shitty cuz i couldn't swim in the ocean due to some sea weed dying and creating this seafoam that won't dissolve making it looks really gross. but other than that, the resort was really really nice. I even went to a spa for the first time in my life, got a full body massage too. one word: awkward. why? cuz a) i'm not used to baring my chest for strangers to see. b) i'm ticklish as you know. and c) b leads into c, i couldn't really relax cuz it was trying so hard not to laugh. but other than that it was quite the experience, and it was fun. i'd totally go to a spa again. ha ha ha ha ha.

oh another funny story, i have this aunt, she's like really old, like grandma old. and we were done eating breakfast and we were on our way back to our rooms, and then this little toddler, who's like russian i think, gets in her way. and she's goes(in viet here) "omg! he's so cute!! he's so cute! he so cute!!" and starts chasing the kid. and oh. my. god. it was so funny cuz the toddler was so scared, and i think my aunt scared the parents too thinking, "omg, what is this crazy old lady doing with my kid!" but they like just kinda gave one of those weird laughs, you know, the kind where it's like, "ha.. ha... he... really now, just stop". i unno, it was just so funny, you just have to see a picture of my aunt to know how much she scared that kid.

While I was there, I also went to the red and white sand dunes. Said to be big tourist attractions, but really there's nothing to do but slid down them and get sand in your underwear. it was depressing and frustrating too cuz when i first got to the red sand dunes, all these kids were bomb barding me to choose them to go down the sand dunes. they're like, "miss! miss! choose me! I'm really good!!" and, "no! don't choose him, choose me!" and it was crazy, so many kids shouting at me, I didn't know what to do. In the end I chose two girls, Kim and Mi. I have to say I admired their physical abilities, for being oh, i'd say about 10 or 12 they could go up and down sand dunes like crazy and not even break a sweat, but it broke my heart how that was there life, and that was all too it and they depend on tourist to survive. I asked if they went to school, and they told me none of the kids there went too school cuz it was too much money, so they give rides to make money for their familys to survive. I also asked how much money they got doing this and they said it all depends on the person, they could give as much or as little as they wanted. My cousin paid them and another little boy who took her down. she went once, while I went 5 times, so i felt bad, so I gave them w.e I had left in my wallet which was worth about 7 dollars Canadian. Then my family and i went for some drinks, drinks being coconut, god i'm sick of coconut. But the whole tiem I was there I was being bombarded by people trying to sell me shirts. It was pissing the hell out of it. It's like you tell 'em no, but they don't listen. It's like that practically everywhere here. So many people trying to sell you stuff you don't even want to buy but they just don't stop. Like you want to help, but really you can't help everyone.

Well, that's it for now!! I'll be home in, oh i unno, a week? I've lost track of the days of the week here, i don't know what day it is, so I assume a week. Ha ha ha!!

Bye!

hey guys!!

Woot, there's a lot more to say, but I don't know where to start.

So ok, I think i had bad ice or bad water or bad something cuz like i'm sick now. I had diahrea for like a day. I took Imodium advance, so i'm better now. You know, in the instructions and cautions of that stuff, they call a poo a stool. Now whodathunkit. It's like, "once you have a solid stool, stop taking imodium advance" or something like that. I can't remember. Now I just have a tummy ache.
Hey! Now I know why I saw black guys in vietnam, it's cuz they play soccer here! yeah, i was watching soccer yesturday and saw a couple black guys playing for a team, and i asked my cousin why is that, and he told me how some clubs hire people from other countries to play for them. Like Africa cuz I guess they get paid more hear than Africa. I was told there are a lot of Thai players too.

My cousin has turtles in her bathroom!!

Yeah, just thought I'd add that random blurb. ha ha ha.

In my last few days so far, there the ones to recent memory. Here's what happened. One of my cousins(I have a lot here) took me to a snake farm in My Tho. It was pretty cool. Took some pics. Took this awesome one of me and this ostrich. Met this American lady there too.

The next day, my same cousin took me out on this boat trip along the mekong delta and to some islands. I have to say, there were so many Jap tourists!!! At the first island that I was at, I learned about the Coconut Monk. Pretty cool story. Kinda like Vietnam's ghandi. Wanted peace between the north and south, and decided to strand himself on this island, and only eat and drink coconuts. Supposidly he didn't even drink water, just coconut juice... or milk, w.e it is. Anyway, he was this like engineer so he built some crazy things that had some deep representation to them. I have pics. I'll definately share when I get back. I don't know the whole story, my mom does though. I'll go more into it when I get back to Canada.

On the second island, we just ate fruit and listened to people sing to us. The third island was really cool. Once we got there, we were taken down to this puny river, where are bunch of boat people were waiting to take you to the other side, and it was a really cool boat ride too. At the end of the ride we just walked around the rest of the island and saw a lot of tourist stands and stuff. Kinda made me sad cuz these people depend on tourists for a living. Like the boat ladies. She told me that after ten days of bringing people in boats do they get paid. ten days! So those were the islands I visited. After that I just hanged around with family.

Oh I also visited where my dad and my grandparents used to live. I even visited their grave. It's way out in like the country. My grandpa had this pot of land and it's full of mango and grapefruit trees, and home of a gazzillion, biting, massive ants!!! oh and a house that is abandon. No one really takes care of that land anymore, it just stays locked up, until people visit to light insents for the graves.

Well, that's all for now. Hope to update another time soon!

Oh another thing, I miss putting toilet paper down the toilet soooo much. That is such a luxery. Here I have to hold the toilet paper until I find a freakin' garbage can, and they don't even have them in the bathrooms!! That also reminds me, I find it amusing how there are unicef posters around the city reminding people to wash hands with soap and to cook chicken fully. Well that's all for now! Bye!

wow! a lot to say!

I've had internet access for a while now at my cousin's house in Thu Duc, but for some reason this site wasn't working. I got one post in though. Anyway, I'm in My Tho now and my cousin brought me to an internet place. It's not an internet cafe, just an internet place. Anyway, while I was in Thu Duc, I just made a bunch of posts and just saved them onto my email. Because this is so slow today, I'm gonna make one big post to save me time and trouble. So here it goes!

I SEE WHITE PEOPLE!!

omg, ok, so I'm in Saigon now, or as the commies call it Ho Chi Minh city. Anyway, there is like sooo many white people I can't believe these tourists. What are they here for? what makes them want to travel to vietnam. I've never heard of it. When you think travel everyone says stuff like Europe or like some tropical place. Not Vietnam. I assume most are Russian cuz if you're from a communist country, you get a discount going into another communist country. I even saw a russian store here! I also went to the market and heard some french tourists. I even saw one guy ride a Honda(what we call scooters or motercycles. Even if you drive a Vespa, we call it a Honda too) I'm like omg! if he can ride one in the streets of Saigon, I should be able to after a while, but doubt it. mom would never allow it. Traffic here is crazy. No rules, everyone goes everywhere. In other lanes and that kinda shit. And jaywalkers! omg! i'm so afraid of crossing hte street, I don't know how people jaywalk. The way I see it is that you cross half way and hope you make it the other half.

And oh! I saw two black guys riding a Honda too!! And then I saw a brown person too!!! Crazy stuff.

wonder of the day: why dont' they have Cadbury in the states? My uncle was giving away cadbury chocolates, and that just came to mind.

ARCHETECHTURE

It's so different here!! Marble is so cheap here, if you have money your house is full of it. It's so damn slippery though. It rained a bit at my uncle's house, I slipped and fell on my ass and back, it's bruised now. But anyway, houses here are tall, long and skinny and look like barbie doll houses with the deco on the outside. I haven't taken a picture yet, but I will. There was one house that looked so much like one, I want to take that one, but don't know if I'll go past it again. But the reason they're so tall is that the higher up you are the more cool it is. A lot of the houses are like colours of the rainbow. And they have crazy detailing too!! What is up with taht! why do you need that?! Put the money to better use! And it's weird too, you'll have one really nice house, and right next door is a ghetto shack made out of scrapes of wook and metal.

Speaking of ghetto, my mom lives in like the ghetto of Saigon that is called quandrant four. Omg iit's so ghetto.

JOLIE?!

What kind of name is that for a car?! It means pretty or sexy in french. Mitsubishi Jolie, wtf?! that's not powerfull or nothing! It's an SUV for gods sake!

PROPAGANDA HERE, PROPAGANDA THERE, PROPAGANDA EVERYWHERE!

Yup, that titles says it all. crappy painted posters of propaganda saying how great communism is. Radio stations for the whole block to here, and even a tv channel dedicated to showing how great the cops are, even though they aren't. And speaking of tv shows, all the viet ones all just have north speaking people, no south, cuz north controls all, they are the commies that brain wash everyone else.

BOOMERANG!!

Man, there's cable at my cousin's house and he gets the Cartoon Network and Boomerang! I could watch all day! I love Boomerang! It's part of Cartoon Network, but it's all retro shows like Mr. T, the Jetsons, Flinstones, The Centurians, and one of my favouites, Jonny Quest! Ba ha ha ha!

OMG! I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN!!!

I went to the beach with my whole family on my mom's side. Aunts, uncles, cousins, you name it, everyone went. and now I'm burned. Burned like... burnt toast? I can't think of a good similie. Ha ha ha. But I was in so much pain. I went to put on a shirt, I just turned my arm, I screamed in pain and started to cry, that's how much it did hurt. I took a picture so i can show all you guys later. I'm so red and dark now. Legs are the same though, my legs didn't burn or tan, though my thighs did!!! Back and sholders hurt the most! it was so hard to sleep. Now though, after a few days, i'm better, but my skin is nasty. it's all peeling and gross.

So those were the thoughts i wanted to share with you guys so far, I'm pretty sure there's more, but i don't remember right now. I'm having a lot of fun, but I do miss my friends and all. Enjoy my posts though!

my own discovery channel

Ha ha ha, there's so many lizards and bugs I can host my own discovery channel. I just might do that with my camera, but we'll see. I'm at my cousin's house in Thu Duc, and his house is full of lizards on the walls that eat mosquitoes. They are so freakin' fast! i've tried catching one with no avail. I've seen some fight too, pretty entertaining. Don't worry, they're never on there ground, just the walls. Then yesturday I saw a preying mantis for the first time in real life. It scared the shit out of me at first cuz I was just lying on the ground watching my cartoon network when all of a sudden I saw something fly in circles from the sky to the ground making the strangest sound! I thought it was one of the lizards! And I was like, "omg! they can fly! holy shit!" Then I got up close and saw it was a preying mantis, then my cousin caught it. You got to be carful with those things, they have those sharp front limbs. Then I also saw a cricket in the house that night too. And there was also a dead cockroach in the bathroom. And I just saw a butterfly land in the house too! Yup, my own discovery channel of bugs.

I'm Here In Vietnam!!!

Holy fuckers!! so much to say so little time!! my cousin is gonna pick me up soon from this internet cafe, and there are so many people talking to me over msn, omg I miss you guys sooo much!!

ok the flight. Flight to Vancouver was ok, not bad. The stay at Vancouver horrible. We were layed over till 3 in the morning and we got there at 10 at night. I couldn't sleep, and it was liek time had stopped. there I learned something about asain people too, they are very impatient and won't listen to the rules and want to go right away.

Anyway, flight to Hong Kong, holy cow long!! Things to mention: Jo, Kasy, and Jenny would love the Korean music station. David would love to Jap one, there was BoA!! ba ha ha ha ha!! there were also amazing inflight movies!! would list them all, but I'm runing out of time, my cousin is already back!!!

Anyway, Vietnam is freaking hot, customs sucked. My mom's place is really gross, but i'll live. I love my dad's side of the family. My viet sucks. I hate when there's no toilette paper, and it's so hard to squat and pee!!!

Anyway, it's not too bad here, love riding a motercycle. i don't drive of couse, but it's pretty scare. feel liek a daredevil here. I hope to come back to an internet cafe soon, but in two days i'm heading to the capital where my mom's side is and i doubt anyone will take me too one.

haven't taken any pics yet, but i will, hopefully. Bye all!!

Just a Note Before I Go

So in less than 24 hours, I'll be on my way to Vietnam baby! I just talked to my sister about it, so some things I should mention.

She told me about the internet cafes, really cheap, but just as slow or even slower than Dial-Up. I don't know if I have that kind of patience in blazing hot weather. For those that know me, you know my temper, you know I get anger, and run short on patience when I'm hot, angry, and mad!! So we'll see if I can last the wait and yell and the screen a couple times. It doesn't work, but makes me feel better... a bit.

I told a few of you too that I'd send post cards. I told my sister I'd do that and she tells me flat out, "I didn't see any post cards while I was in Vietnam" Like, what kind of country doesn't have postcards! I'll try to hunt some down. If you don't get any, then you know I failed as a postcard finder and I've failed in life. Ha ha ha.

Well, that's all I can think of to say. Hope my flight goes well. It'll be quite funny with my dad, since he hates heights, air planes, and will be popping a lot of sleeping pills (don't worry, he's not going to over does, psssh) But I'm worried about dealing with my mother. Her and I get really ansy after being together for long periods of time in a confined space where both of us can't escape away from. Like I know she knows best, but really, do I want to listen?! NO!

Well, I might post again tmr. Have a fun summer everyone, I'll miss you all! I'll take a lot of pictures, and but a bunch of cheap, fake stuff!!

To my home girl Jenn Anchan!

This is for my home girl Jenn Anchan, July 1st was her B-Day. I haven't had a chance to talk to Jenn at all, so thought I'd do a little tribute on my blog. She better read this or else.

So me and Jenn were freinds since elementary school. Way back in the day where I thought she was black, and she thought she was white, but just really really tanned. She told me that while we were waiting for the school bus. Ha ha ha ha. Jenn's brown, just so you know, but she acts white/asain.

Jenn and I were best friends until the end of grade 2 where she moved. I was so sad. She tried to keep in touch with a Jazzy Jewlery Club(you guys remember Jazzy Jewlery right?) Well, I was a real tomboy and hated that stuff, so I didn't really want to partake in it, plus Jenn lived really far away back then. So we lost contact after that, thought I'd never see her again. Fate works in mysterious ways though because we met up again in high school. Long story how it happened, I don't feel like getting into the details, but if you'd like to know, just ask, I'll be glad to share. Lol. But it was amazing our encouter, and it was just like old times, we both clicked like nothing ever changed.

But then Jenn had to leave AGAIN and go to freakin' Abe. Anyway, so Jenn, Kasy and I decided to have these little gaming parties. We told each other we'd do one once a month at each others houses. It's only happened 4 times successfully, all at my house. Lol. I wanted another one before I left, but couldn't get a hold of Jenn. Can't have a gaming party with out Jenn and her GameCube. Yes folks, that's all she's good for. No, just kiding! She's great to be around too, but the game cube just makes it all the more fun!

Anyway, this is my way of saying bye to her before I leave the country. She's probably at some bible camp knowing her. I also want to say again, Happy Birthday to Jenn! Wished we could have done something together for it, but maybe when I come back, and I doubt I'll get a hold of her tmr, she has no say in what I'll bring back for her from Vietnam, and that I'll miss talking to her too. And that reminds me! She still owes me a rap!! Jenn! When you read this! Get working on it!

Golfing with Jenny

June 31st. Oh boy, was this an experience. ha ha ha ha. And one of the most fun days of my life.

So Jenny is like my newest friend here, met her through training for daycamps. We instantly clicked. Anyway, Jenny invited me to go golfing with her and the Mayor's Youth Council, and I totally jumped at the opportunity cuz I never went golfing before and I had a chance to go for free!!

We really didn't plan it out till like the very last minute over the phone, such as routes to take where to meet and when. I was so frantic when I left the house. I missed the bus, it was rush hour, I was running late, I had to walk the long way to the C-train, and it was blistering hot! I finally get downtown, and guess who I see?! Sonbol and Mary!!! It was so cool seeing them! They were just going around China town and told me about their trip to the Glenbow Museaum, which was pretty cool. Sonbol was mean and didn't share her drink though. lol, jk. Anyway, I finally meet up with Jenny, and we booked it through the Petro-Can building to take the 70 bus all the way to the golf course, but we were so engulfed in talking we missed the bus stop!! We got off the next bus stop which was a long walk away, but we had no choice. Then it started to rain, it wasn't too bad, but then it got worse. Right when we crossed the street, it started to pour!! So we had to run UPHILL to the clubhouse. 15 minutes later, the rain stopped. That's Calgary weather for you.

At the clubhouse I was introduced to Lauren, another member of MYC and was golfing with us. Now non of us knew how to golf or knew any of the eitiquettes of golfing, and we got stuck with this old guy named Leon, who smoked and drank. It was weird, but he taught us some useful things. It was weird to be around him cuz we couldn't really goof off like we wanted to. But he left us by the 6th hole, and we met up with Farook and Natasha also from MYC, but Natasha had to leave as well, so Farook joined us. Finally, we could kick back and have fun. It was so much more fun without the adult, like we would just hit the ball, we wouldn't really wait for eachother after hitting off the tee. And I have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself for my first golf experience, I'm really good at hitting the ball out of the sand dunes, and I had a couple really good shots, but I also had a couple really crappy shots.

This is me and Jenny trying to be like samurai. I had my sling pack on so I couldn't put the rentals around me properly, so in the end, I'll put it in Jenny's terms, I look like I'm wearing a gurdle, whatever that is. Lol.

After a little over 2 hours and nine holes finished we went to the club house for some much needed food. What ticked me off was that I ordered a Smokie, I paid for a Smokie and was given a HOT DOG!! After working Stampede, you know the difference right away, but me, I didn't realize it till after put the condiments on! So I couldn't really return it, so w.e, I ate it. After we ate, Lauren left, and Farook, Jenny and I decided to take some pics with the city sky line behind us. It was beautiful up there! The picture doesn't do it justice, my camara can't zoom in enough. Plus the driving range fence was in the way.

We're bending down cuz we thought if we bent down enough we could get the skyline, but Farook held us back with the bending. Lol jk.

Here's a better pic of the skyline. We decided to do some exploring while waiting for Farook's dad. This pic was taking near the 18th hole. And holy crap do you have to be a good golfer to make it over the massive valey, ravine, or w.e you call it. It was deep.

Here's one of my fav pics, where jenny and Farook are swatting away the mosqitoes from my head. Holy cow I couldn't believe how many of them there were.

Finally, Farook's dad picked him up and Jenny and I were on our way home when we decided to make a pit stop downtown and go down Stephan Ave. What fun! And what great pics!

Here's me outside the coolest book store ever! McNally Robinson!

Here's a couple pics of the "metal trees" or "spider". The real name alludes me. People are telling me diff names, but those are the common ones I've heard. If you know the real name comment and tell me!

Well, that was my day, and this has been a really really long post. Ha ha ha ha.

Last Day of School and The Devil Wears Prada

Ok, so the last day of school was pretty hectic: me having to do yearbook distribution for a bit and searching through the mass of people for friends to sign my yearbook. I even lost my yearbook for a bit there. A little scared for a moment there. All in all, I was really proud of the yearbook, I put so much time and effort into it. There was the occasional major flub, but what can you do. Just leave it at that. I wish I had more time though to get people to sign mine, but I'm content with what I got. Got a lot of qualitity in mine. Ha ha ha, and for those that know me, you know how i write freakin' essays in yearbooks. Lol.

For the last day of school, I planned that everyone get together and we all go see the movies Cars, but I was so busy prior to the last day, didn't give anyone notice, I lost my debit, had no cash, so we couldn't go. But by my lucky stars Shirley invited me to a free screening of The Devil Wears Prada. You should have seen me. I entertained Steph Murry, and Shirley with my expressions when I went, "FREE?!", kinda like how Homer Simpson goes, "WHA?!?" Then I kinda did a Fresh Prince of Belaire kick-jump-hand-sticking-out move to show my excitment. Lol.

So let's fast forward to that night. Shirly and me are at Chinook and decide to buy something to eat(mom lent money, finally told her I lost my debit) and we're not popcorn people, so we decide to go with Burger King. And OK, it's official. I'm an A&W fan all the way, reasonable prices, amazing fries, and don't overkill on the mayo. I couldn't believe I spent over 10 bucks on a combo! And Holy Shit! Was the regular size drink ever huge! No wonder people are freakin' unhealthy these days. Aside from that, we met some really nice people waiting in line. The lady ahead of us(we were second in line) was from the Herald, very nice. A group of girls behind us who saved our spots when we went and bought burger king, they were a funny group of girls I have to say, but nice and in good humour, even though I won Shirley the prize. Lol yes. I won her a prize. They were doing a draw, and Shirley's number was 234 and the guy(turns out he was my cousin's husband) calls 235, I say "OHHHH!!!" so loud, so Tung(my cousin's husband) said, "who said "oh"?", "was your number 234?", of course I said yes, so he let us win the prize. Which was a gift card for Coles, and how appropriate was that since Shirley works there! The girls we met earlier were a little irked cuz they had numbers that were one off before, and couldn't go down to claim a prize. Guess Lady Luck was just on my side, what can I say? Lol. But they were in good humour about it, so it was all good.

The movie was acctually pretty good. It was hard for me to get into because I just didn't relate to the movie with it being all about fashion and all. Lol. But in the end it all worked out for me, really liked how it all came together in the end. Though what was to happen in Ann Hathaway's character was predictable, there were some suprises which was pretty good. Meryl Strepe was amazing in the movie, totally loved her in it. So all in all, it was good, but I wouldn't pay 11 bucks to see it again.

Down Town excursion and Sushi

Wednesday June 28th.

Brace yourselves, this is a long one. Ha ha ha ha!

That day was such a memorable and fun day ever! I'm never going to forget it! Where to begin? Well, first things first, this was suppose to be a day to hang out with Steph Lim before I left for Vietnam, and it was a helluva day.

I had to do some early morning, last minute shopping before meeting up with Steph, and I got the coolest sling bag btw. Anyway, I had to meet Steph back at Sundrige, and there I also met up with Summeet, and they showed me their work place of the future for them... STARBUCKS. ha ha ha ha, well good luck to them on getting the job, I'm sure they will. It's newly opened and whatnot. After that, Summeet had to leave us and Steph and I headed for downtown.

Now I didn't know this 'bout Steph till that day, but she knows the +15s like the back of her hand it was amazing. It was blazing hot that day, but we were able to stay in an air conditioned area for 99% of the time. Plus we saw so many cool things there! Like TD Square, I haven't been in ages!! And Senterra! Holy crap that place is AWESOME! Need to go back soon!!

Anyway, we finally met up with some of Steph's friends at Sakana Grill for sushi. I already knew Susan and Leanna, but I met Connie and Sarah for the first time. Connie totally reminds me of Michelle Lu from my art class in her ditzy way, but I mean that in a good way. She's great and funny! ha ha ha ha. So sushi was sushi, filling as always. Difference was, I tried the raw scallop. It wasn't that great. It was ok at first, but I kept chewing and chewing, and everyone else was like, "feels like slugs going down your throat eh?" stuff like that. The texture became so creamy and gross, but I swallowed it. I don't think I'll have raw scallop in a while.

After that, we all headed down to Eau Clair, for ARCADE! Oh the awesome, dingy, arcade. Where we spent all our tokens watching Connie, Sarah, and Stephanie play House of Dead 4. It was so INTENSE! It was my job to put in the coins before they totally died, and we got pretty far too. It was a team effort! Ha ha ha! We got to the second boss. It was funny how once we ran out of tokens, we were all screaming for more change and to get tokens fast. In the end, everyone ran out of change. But it was fun to watch. Wish I had some pics, but Steph has some.

After that, we went out into the blistering hot weather and went to the waddling pool where all the kiddies were and took some pics. Only, Steph, Sarah, and I went into the water, the others were chicken :P

Ok, so after that, we thought we go back around the +15s and head over to Devonian Gardens to relax and take some pics. Steph took some really nice ones i wish I could share, but I don't have them.

Steph took this pic. I just think it's so cool. We were in the open roof area, and she just took a pic looking up and out at the building.

Here's the open area where the pic above was taken.

I have more, mostly of foliage and us at the playground in the gardens, but steph had most of the nice ones. When I get them from her I'll post them up. Plus i don't want to put anymore up cuz it's taking forever to do.

Anyway, after Devonian Gardens, we had to go our seperate ways. Sarah, Connie, and Susan went to Chinook to shop. Leanna left earlier for training, and Steph and I headed back to Sundrige to help look for my debit card that I lost when I went to shop with Jo, which I fogot to mention. Plus Steph had to meet up with another friend. All in all, it was a really good day, had a lot of fun and made new friends which is always good.

Shopping with Jo

On Tuesday, June... June... something, oh yeah! The 27th!

Ok, I wanted to go to Chinook in the first place, but knowing me, I caved and decided to go with Josephine to Sundrige, but the damn girl shows up late!!! LATE! And doesn't even call me till a half hour later. Pssssh. So I sit and wait, by MYSELF, watching the same trailers over and over again. Finally, I decide, you know what, I'm just gonna go off on my own, enjoy my time before I LEAVE. Finally, after I get out of Bluenotes, Jo calls me, we meet, we shop.

Jo's one of those dilligent shoppers I can tell you that. She's the kind that must go into every store to compare every price, and look at everything, and drag me along. Whereas there's me, on the other side of the spectrum. I'm kinda the lazy shopper, I'll go into stores with you that I like fine, but when you take me into something I know I'm not gonna buy anything, I just get cranky. I'm not one who usually compares prices. If I see it there, and I like the quality and trust it, I'll buy it. I won't go back and forth from Shoppers and Zellers like some people. And ohh! she was so indesicive. I'm indecisive too, but holy cow! Jo was so worried about spending money on much needed pants. What I go through for her. Like those pictures I had to take(inside story)

But what was cool that day was that we got to meet up with Jamella(Jam) and we haven't seen her for like a whole year! Her being in Africa and all. So we talked with her and her friend Jessica for like a whole hour gossiping about IB(yes, who knew there was gossip in IB?! Scandalous!) updating each other and whatnot. It was great to see her again. So yeah, that's my story on our shopping trip.

this happened a long time ago, but...

I'd still like to share the story. Ok, so this happened during exam week, during the Chem Diploma to be exact. Funny thing, once everyone gets out of the first part of the exam, everyone is effin' paranoid as hell over every little thing, so as human condition goes, everyone finds comfort in reasurrance, so what do we do? We fucking ask everyone and everybody(who is credible in the feild of chemistry here) what they got, and we compare answers. Oh, I just love watching and making fun of the human condition. But that's not the funny story, this just leads up to it.

Ok, so everyone's out of the exam and all us IBers head to the library lounge(duh! where else would we go?!) And everyone says they're going to study, but in reality, no one ever really does! Half the time we debated when to go to lunch and who would come with and where, the other half wasted on doing calculations on our TI-83s figuring out what we needed in part b to just keep or achieve whatever mark we wanted. Don't you just love how IBers think?! You think it's all about the studying, when really, it's 50% preperation(cramming due to procrastination) and 50% worrying and analyzing every possiblity of wrongs and rights. My math can be debated, but I don't really care!

Anyway! Continuing. You'll start to notice how I take forevet to get to the point of a story.

So it's after we all went and ate lunch, there's the occasional few actually studying, a group of people playing cards(someone always has to play cards in this situation), a few people chatting, and there's me trying to catch a few zees before the exam. Now, all the chairs in the lounge are taken by others and are crowding around a few desks, so my solution to a seating dilema: you sit on the table when the janitor isn't looking. So I went to sit on the table, and I wanted to bring my knees to my chest, and next thing I know, I hear a "rrrrriiiiiiii", and wouldn't you know it, I RIPPED MY PANTS!! Boy, did I feel like Spongebob Squarepants(please tell me, you people know the allusion I speak of). So here's a pic to share of my ripped pants.

My first blog!!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Jessica's Summer Blog!! This will hopefully include all my thoughts and events that I go through this summer. I'm hopeing to do a lot of blogging on my travels to Vietnam, but the future is unclear. I'm thinking I can get internet access at internet cafés, but not sure how often I'll go to one, but if I do, I'll be sure to make long posts. Ha ha ha ha!

Well, first things first, I'd really like to share my events of this week because I had so much fun with friends, and I'd love to share with everyone. For those who know me, you know how I love to share all my stories. Ba ha ha ha ha! So let the story telling begin!!
